Dear Colleague,

together with symposium co-directors, Prof Petr Neuzil and Dr Vivek Y Reddy, I am pleased to invite you to the jubillee 20th edition of the Prague Workshop on Catheter Ablations with Live Demonstrations. From the beginning, the mission of the workshop was to support education in electropyhsiology not only in the Czech Republic but also in other countries, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. For all 20 years we keep a similar format, i.e. review lectures followed by live cases. For this year, we plan to review history of previous editions and show many strategies of ablation, some of them with novel technologies. One of the highlights will be live transmission from Michel Haissaguerre´s lab in Bordeaux, showing panoramic mapping-guided ablation of atrial fibrillation. The other live case from the Heart Centre in Leipzig will demonstrate a case using FIRM mapping during ablation of atrial fibrillation. We feel that these cases and many others from EP labs in both Prague centres will satisfy even the most demanding electrophysiologists.

For less experienced among you, we prepared pre-workshop seminar called Practical Sessions. In this seminar we plan to discuss tips and tricks on conventional ablations, show some examples from practice. Prof Yan Yao from Beijing will discuss how to perform safely transseptal puncture even without echocardiographic guidance.

We all hope that you will find the preliminary program of the workshop exciting and look forward to meeting you in Prague in April.
